NAALA 2021 Internship Program

The North American Australian Lawyers Alliance is pleased to consider applications for its 2021 Internship Program.  NAALA serves as the peak representative body dedicated to advancing cross-border opportunities and collaboration between lawyers, policy makers and multilateral institutions across Australia and North America.  NAALA is seeking an intern to assist our Board with a wide variety of the day-to-day support functions that are pertinent to the operations of an international peak body.  Internships are available to undergraduate, graduate and law students depending on current staffing needs.  Dates and schedules may be flexible in response to the needs of the Board. 

 

Applications are open for acceptance until 31 August 2021.

 

Program details

 

Interns will work with NAALA’s board to gain an understanding of the cross-border issues facing the legal profession and business community.  Interns will assist the Board in facilitating professional activities that advance the law, education, business and society.  NAALA has a deep commitment to promoting cultural harmony and diversity through community activity, mentorship and the exchange of ideas.  In general, interns will support various aspects of NAALA’s policy implementation, advocacy work and supporting projects to build its international network.   

 

Although this is an unpaid position, interns at NAALA are eligible for a wide variety of perks and learning opportunities including:

Qualifications

 

NAALA requires the following qualifications for all internships:

 

  1. Student or recent undergraduates and graduates (all disciplines)

  2. Strong commitment and/or interest in international relations, political science, law, business or a related field

  3. Excellent research, writing and analytical skills

  4. Proficiency with MS Office
